On Motivation

What motivates you to keep on living?
by summerdaycee

Each of us has each of his or her own set of failures and disappointments. A lot of problems arises day by day. Lately, while I was reading my previous entries of my posts, my younger years where full of it. Negative feelings, negative impressions, all negative. So I guess that was why I was able to entertain the thought that I do not want to continue living and wished that I would die sooner. But then again, I've realized that thinking that if I die, I could not do the things I like and eat the things I love and help the people I dreamed of helping someday.

What motivates me to keep on living? First and foremost is my fear to God. God blessed us with one of the most wonderful gifts which includes life. But come to think of it, then why there are people who are sick and dying? Even innocent children are of no exception?

Who could tell? I always believed that everything has a reason. Maybe they are meant to tell something by the right person, at the right place and at the right time. Things are meant to teach something. Like problems and trials, it is there to shape us into better individuals. Without it, our life becomes dull.

If we look into a lot of perspectives and we just don't stay into one, you will see that there are a lot of opportunities awaiting. Life is like a box of chocolates, you'll never know what's inside and that uncertainty makes us to look forward to living life.

On Enjoying Life

How to enjoy life?

by summerdaycee

How to enjoy life? There are many ways to enjoy life. You can take your dog for a walk, plant a tree, learn a new language or even go shopping. It merely depends on what you prefer to do and how would you react to a given situation. Remember that all problems has a lot of possible solutions.

Now back to the question, enjoying is like living your life to the fullest. It's like living your last day today, your last hour, your last minute, your last second. Anyway, of all the resources that we have, it is time that can not be recovered. Like they always say, "Time will not wait for us."

Given the circumstance, I think the most appropriate question for this is how will we make our life meaningful? If I'm going to answer it, maybe it is all about doing something that you love, something you're passionate about and devoting yourself to it. It includes letting our self-centeredness out of our mind and out of our heart. For this would only cause envy, jealousy and others nasty things that we could think of. I know that it is not easy to do it and sometimes we can't help it because as they say, "self-centeredness is a part of human nature". But if we begin to compare ourselves to others, knowing that though this may sometimes work to improve oneself, later on our self-centeredness would also be the cause of our destruction.

Enjoying life is all about giving and receiving. Accepting one's strength and weakness and always strives for the better. As much as we want to be respected, we also give respect. We should also respect the dignity and the rights of others. We continue to struggle for our shortcomings.

It's all about having a positive mental attitude and working with action. I know that it is better said than done but we should always look forward to the brighter side of life no matter how worst the situation there is.
